I’ve been helping small businesses and not-for-profit organizations communicate clearly and effectively since 1985. I’ve been the full-time Marketing Manager for a number of companies and organizations, and since 2006 I’ve also had my own freelance business, Best Light Communication. I provide part-time marketing management and creative services to small businesses and charities who need to get their messages out effectively and professionally, but don’t have their own full-time marketing team or agency.
From my home office in Toronto, Canada, I can manage your marketing and create your content remotely, no matter where in the world you’re located, as long as you’re comfortable communicating with me via the web. My video and photography services are available primarily to businesses in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
I’m available for one, two, or three days a week on an ongoing basis (with a 3, 6, or 12-month contract). I’m also available anytime for work done on an on-call (hourly rate) basis, though you will benefit more, and pay less per hour, if you retain me on an ongoing basis. Not Sure Which Contract to Choose?
If you’ve had a look at my contract choices and you’re not sure which one is best for your business, here are two suggestions:
- Start small! Choose the 1 day a week, 3-month contract, which will give you 100 hours total, spread over 3 months, for just CAD $8K (i.e., $2667/month). Since I track my time in 15-minute pieces, we can accomplish a lot of small tasks, or make good headway in a few larger projects, in one hundred hours. And if it turns out that you need more of my time, we can easily change the contract, either to give you more time each week, or more months in the contract.
- Or, before deciding, contact me first and send me the list of marketing projects and tasks that you need help with now, and I’ll estimate approximately how many hours that wish list might take me to complete. This is just a “ballpark” estimate, but it can help you choose the right contract to achieve your communication goals within your desired time frame.
